In the midst of a calendar year where unexpected events have created an incredibly dynamic and unpredictable business environment, we’re excited to deliver new functionality that’s geared to help our customers respond and adapt to new ways of planning and executing their most important work in TaskRay.  Let’s take a closer look at some of the major additions included in the upcoming November 2020 release.

Template Builder

The Template Builder is a new utility that guides administrators through the step-by-step process of building TaskRay project templates by creating a project structure, adding a team, scheduling tasks, and optionally creating task dependencies.

The Template Builder also features a right sidebar that provides contextual tips and best practices at every step of the process to help ensure that administrators take full advantage of the best functionality that TaskRay has to offer when creating or editing templates.

The Template Builder is part of the Template Hub – a new tab that provides a single workspace for admins to manage their template projects.  In the Template Hub, templates are organized into Active, Draft, and Archived groupings, and pre-built templates can also be imported from the TaskRay Template Library.

Advanced Scheduler

The Advanced Scheduler is a new feature that helps simplify the process of rescheduling tasks in bulk.  When plans change, the Advanced Scheduler helps ensure that projects in TaskRay accurately reflect new deadlines or delays by streamlining the experience of making bulk scheduling adjustments.

With the Advanced Scheduler, TaskRay users can compress project timelines to meet new deadlines, reschedule multiple tasks in bulk, or make manual scheduling adjustments to specific tasks to make sure everything in a project stays on track.

TaskRay Mobile

The November 2020 release also includes an all-new TaskRay Mobile solution is available to further enhance the experience of using TaskRay in the Salesforce Mobile app.  TaskRay Mobile is a new Lightning App Page that includes the My Work Lightning Component, giving users efficient access to their most important work in TaskRay while on-the-go.
